Mr. Peachey’s Birthday

So, yesterday was my husband’s birthday!! WAHOO!! 🙂

Now, in the past, I’ve been really crappy at birthday’s. Well, at least for him. For whatever reason, my brain doesn’t associate his birthday with summer. However, this year, was going to be DIFFERENT!

I was inspired by a recent Pinterest search! (Don’t even get me started on how addicting it is!) Once I looked into it more, I said I could do that! So, I did!

In her blog post, she talks about creating separate dates, once a month. “Each labeled with a month of the year.  And each envelope contains a pre-planned, (mostly) pre-paid date.” And what would you know, she did this for the entire year!! Now, let’s not get crazy, or anything. I only did it for the next 6 months, or as we may know it, the rest of 2011! Let’s see how this goes before I sign up to do this on a regular basis. Plus, this gives me an opportunity to expand upon it for CHRISTMAS!

Now, lately my dates with my husband have been trips to Homie D’s, Kitchen Fixing, and movie rentals. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love doing all of those things, ESPECIALLY with Mr. Peachey, but I’m the type of person who loves to try something new. Whether its a new restaurant, music, or location, I don’t care. I’ll try it!! Anything that gets my senses going, I’m ALL ABOUT IT! Plus, it helps distract me from my ankylosing spondylitis pain 😉

So, when I came across this idea, it was GENIOUS, BRILLIANT, AND I RAN WITH IT. For July, he opened it up, and read this:

the cute little heart looks like this:

AND, YES, I made him GUESS!! He guessed either Fish and Chips or Indian Food. My husband is a genius. 😀 It was Indian. Of course, its only “Proper” if I let him choose the ENTIRE menu…

Much Love,

  1. Love, love, love your gift! My daughter and I do Fridates to all new restaurants in our area. We are dessert freaks and eat ridiculously healthy all the time except for dessert on the Fridates. Looking forward to your next months adventure 🙂

    • It was a lot of fun coming up with ideas for the next 6 months to do! Some are free and some are things we’ve always wanted to try as a couple. 🙂 It was a really easy craft!

What kind of restaurant is Fridates? If the desserts are delicious, I’m always in 😉
