Now, many of you may already know this but I LOVE COFFEE. No, not just LOVE COFFEE, but ADORE it. My obsession only grew when I went to Italy! When Mr. P and I needed a pick-me up, we’d have an espresso. If we were having a lazy morning we’d have a cappuccino. So, what is the difference? How they brew the beans, quality of beans, and how much WATER they add. In an espresso, you wont find a single drop of water. In a cappuccino you wont find a single drop of water either, but rather steamed milk. And if you want a good old cup of joe, you’ll get a weird version of an Americano, or according to the Italians, an espresso with 75 percent hot water.
Since returning, I’ve tried everything in my power to get the same great Italian coffee taste. I dropped all sugar and almost all milk from my coffee. I also try to consume it in the smallest-and-strongest coffee bean ratio I can.
One final thought: coffee isn’t meant to taste like ice cream, but it should be just as smooth. 🙂
How do you prefer your coffee?
PS – Let me know what you think of #MondayMantra. I’m a little bored with Funday Monday…
