The best piece of advice we got before we left for Italy was “get lost in Venice”. Be sure to see the sights, but get lost.
And we did.
And we had the best time.
One of our first tourist visits was to St. Mark’s Campanile. The tower is 323 feet tall and stands alone in the corner of St. Mark’s Square, near the front of the bascilla. The current tower was reconstructed in its present form in 1912 after the collapse of 1902. Still impressive since it’s now over 100 years old.
It had some of the most incredible views of Venice, Italy.
and of course a few selfies on top of the tower…
Let’s not forget the other famous bridge in Venice…Bridge of Sighs…
Some of my favorite pictures I took were during sunset next to the water.
