At the age of 30, a common question I get is, “do you have any tattoos?”
No. I don’t.
BUT, that doesn’t mean I don’t admire the commitment others have to get one or that I don’t like them. BUT honestly its because I’m so indecisive. If I got a tattoo of every symbol I ever liked, I’d have a butterfly, a yellow rubber duck, and an owl by now. I’m already the crazy animal lady; I don’t need to have a bunch of insects and animals on my body. 🙂 Okay and the other truth? I have enough freckles I could connect the dots and make one.
So, where am I going with this? Well, Brooke who blogs at WorldofWanderlust.com and who happens to have one of my favorite Instagram accounts, showcases her amazing photos of her journey around the world solo and some of the images include her TINY tattoo. I love the little open heart she has on her left wrist…
So feminine, so delicate, so…tiny. I don’t think I have the guts to get one but I really like them. So, what’s a girl to do? I went to Etsy to see if there were options and I’m pleased to say you can get a grown-up version of a temporary tattoo.
Here are a few of my favorites I found:
Or go a little larger and grab a beautiful quote. I love the quote, “I refuse to sink”. It reminds me of my past challenges, especially with my arthritis and pursuing forward, no matter what. I love how this is captured with either a tiny anchor, infinity symbol or both.
My favorite childhood movie was Peter Pan because I never wanted to grow up. Okay, and I wanted to fly! One Halloween as a child I choose to go as Peter Pan, my sister went as Tinkerbell and my daddy went has Captain Hook. To this day, I still choose to never grow up.
And to go with the theme of the never growing up, I love how Disney taught me to always dare to dream.
What do you think? Would you get a tiny temporary tattoo? Or a real tiny tattoo?
